چکیده

One of the main problems in laboratories oyster seed production occurs stage settlement or fixation and metamorphosis larvae. The organisms develop drastic morphological physiological changes at this stage, exposing them to attack by pathogenic microorganisms. Numerous studies indicate that before larval a substrate, they require bacteria stimulate induce process. In study, Japanese (Crassostrea gigas) larvae were fed with combinations microalgae previously selected for their probiotic potential; impact on survival, growth, was evaluated. Larvae D 12 days old provided private company transported laboratory under controlled conditions. Probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum 69Cr, L. fermentum 101Cc, casei 43Cg reactivated MRS applied concentration 1×104 CFU mL-1. Microalgae Isochrysis galbana Chaetoceros calcitrans grown F2 medium supplied 3×104 cells Results showed, all treatments, survival range 39-53%, growth 300-310 μm, 34-56.5% settlement. However, best combined I. C. 69Cr 54% 310 μm 56.5% It is concluded combination has potential be used

Vibrio crassostreae sp. nov., isolated from the haemolymph of oysters (Crassostrea gigas).

Polyphasic analysis of five new Vibrio isolates originating from the haemolymph of diseased cultured oysters is described. The new isolates were closely related to Vibrio splendidus, having 98 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity. gyrB phylogenetic analysis, fluorescent amplified-fragment length polymorphism (FAFLP) fingerprinting and DNA-DNA hybridization experiments clearly showed that the new...

Vibrio gigantis sp. nov., isolated from the haemolymph of cultured oysters (Crassostrea gigas).

Polyphasic analysis of four new Vibrio isolates originating from the haemolymph of diseased cultured oysters is described. The new isolates were closely related to Vibrio splendidus, having 98 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity. Phylogenetic analysis based on DNA gyrase subunit B (gyrB), RNA polymerase sigma70 factor (rpoD), replication origin-binding protein (rctB) and transmembrane regulator...

Complete Genome Sequence of Vibrio coralliilyticus 58, Isolated from Pacific Oyster (Crassostrea gigas) Larvae

We report here the complete genome of Vibrio coralliilyticus strain 58, which was originally isolated from inactive Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas) larvae in Japan. The assembled genome consisted of two chromosomes and one plasmid. These data will provide valuable information and important insights into the biodiversity of this organism.

Factors influencing disease-induced mortality of Pacific oysters Crassostrea gigas

Mortalities of oyster Crassostrea gigas seed associated with ostreid herpesvirus OsHV-1 μVar have been observed in many oyster-producing countries since 2008. The present study, comprised of 4 complementary experiments, aimed to identify factors associated with disease-induced oyster mortality in order to propose mitigation strategies. Our first experiment compared survival of oysters from natu...

Metal bioaccumulation and metallothionein concentrations in larvae of Crassostrea gigas.

Larval stages of bivalve molluscs are highly sensitive to pollutants. Oysters from a hatchery from Normandy (English Channel) were induced to spawn, and fertilized eggs were exposed to copper or cadmium for 24 h. Metal accumulation (from 0.125 to 5 microg Cu L(-1) and from 25 to 200 microg Cd L(-1)) and MT concentrations were measured in larvae. Compared to controls, larvae accumulated copper a...
